The Standard Bank Wallet or Instant Money Transfer allows you to send cash to any working cellphone number in South Africa.
The service is popularly known as e-wallet, which enables cheaper and faster banking for customers.
Today, I want to show you the costs of using the Standard Bank instant money wallet.
Let’s get started.
The Benefits
The Standard Bank eWallet allows you to send money up to R5,000.00 per day to any working cellphone number. And send up to R25,000.00 per month with an instant wallet at a cheaper rate.
It’ll only cost you R8.00 for sending instant money less than R500.00. And only R10.50 for anything higher up to the R5k daily limit.
By far the cheapest money transfer service in the country.
You could use the money for anything you want. Buy prepaid airtime, data, or electricity directly from Standard Bank services.
Or simply withdraw the cash and spend it on anything you want.

Instant Money Reversal
Perhaps you’ve shared the voucher with the incorrect cellphone number and wish to quickly reverse the transaction so that you don’t lose the money.
Here’s how you can do it, using the Standard Bank mobile app.
- Tap “more” at the bottom right corner of the app,
- Tap on “Sent Instant money”,
- Tap on “Manage Vouchers”,
- Select either “Beneficiary Vouchers” (if the voucher was sent to someone else) or “Your Vouchers” (If you sent the voucher to yourself),
- Proceed to delete.
And once deleted, the money should reflect in your bank account immediately.
